Benidorm is not explained exclusively through its beaches or his skyline cutting edge, is understood, above all, through its silences facing the sea. For those who want to discover the essence of the city, there is a circular route through which the five best viewpoints that define the identity of Benidorm.
The route through these five viewpoints does not require great physical effort and allows for a journey through history, geography and feeling of a city that has known how to grow without ever stopping to look at the sea.

Furthermore, all of these points of interest are signposted through the new City Hall tourist information panels, which, in turn, act as guides for the visitor.
1. Mirador de la Plaça de la Senyoria
The route of this route begins where the modern city surrenders to the historic center: the Plaça de la Senyoria, which acts as an elegant prelude to what the itinerary holds.

This place is surrounded by palm trees and busts that pay tribute to key figures in the history of Benidorm, and offers one of the more balanced perspectives of Westeros.

Furthermore, from here, not only the small cove of Mal Pas and the port, but also the endless arm of fine sand of Poniente beach disappear into infinity towards Cala de Finestrat. That is why it is considered one of the most ideal for watching the sun begin to set, dyeing the windows of some of the tallest skyscrapers in Europe gold.
2. Plaça Castelar viewpoint
The route continues with the Viewpoint of the Castelar Square, guarded by the blue dome of the Church of Saint James and Saint Anne, and just 2 minutes from the start of the route. From here you have another beautiful panoramic view of the Port of Benidorm and the beginning of Poniente Beach.

The place, commonly known as the Plaza del Castillo or Castell Square, it is a historic and emblematic point located in the heart of the old town of Benidorm, on the promontory that separates the beaches of Levante and Poniente.
In the center you will see the monument to deceased sailors and a row of banks perfect to sit and watch the atmosphere and the sea. It is the viewpoint that marks the entrance to the old town from the Poniente Beach area.
3. Santa Anna Viewpoint
Later, the Santa Anna Square, a little further from the side of the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana and on the ruins of the old military castle. It stands out for being a meeting point in the old town, offering sea views and easy access to restaurants, bars and the famous Balcón del Mediterráneo viewpoint.

This viewpoint is one of the most vibrant on the route, since it is flanked by the historic iron cannons that point to the horizon and the square is a living reminder of the times when the town had to be protected from pirate raids. It is the point where the stalls of artisans and painters.
Plaza Santa Anna is particularly special because its impressive views of the Mediterranean: The main view from this viewpoint is Mal Pas Beach, hidden just below, but you also see the breadth of Poniente Beach, on one side, and Levante Bay, on the other.
4. Best viewpoints in Benidorm: the Balcony of the Mediterranean
The tour continues towards the famous Mediterranean balcony and its emblematic white marble staircase. This viewpoint is located at the tip of a large rock that also protects the current marina.

It is one of the most iconic points of the city of Benidorm, which, due to its position, offers impressive panoramic views of the sea, the island of Benidorm and the city, being ideal for watching the sunrise or sunset. In addition to the views, there are remains of the castle wall.
5. Mirador de la Plaza Sant Jaume

Other viewpoints in Benidorm
In addition to the viewpoint route, you cannot miss the Music Viewpoint, created in tribute to the musical festivals of Benidorm. It is located at the end of Paseo de Tamarindos, where Poniente beach ends.

The place is a small space, with a glass railing and in which two monoliths in memory of the two most important festivals of the city.
